ABOUT NEIL deGRASSE TYSON
Astrophysicist and Host of the highly-anticipated Carl Sagan reboot, “Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey,” Neil deGrasse Tyson is recognized as a visionary piquing the scientific curiosity of the next generation.
Tyson is the face of PBS’ Nova Science Now and StarTalk Radio, presenting authoritative, innovative, and entertaining scientific stories. His professional research interests span from star formation and exploding stars to dwarf galaxies and the structure of our Milky Way. Tyson obtains his data from the Hubble Space Telescope, as well as from telescopes in California, New Mexico, Arizona, and in the Andes Mountains of Chile.
As the Director of the Hayden Planetarium, he conducts research in astrophysics and brings the universe down to Earth! He is exploring the expectations of where we should be in space by now and the geopolitical, cultural, and economic realities that limit it.
